2011 Jazzonian Holiday Bash Hits a
High Note at Michele’s Dining Lounge

Talk about Jazzy magic in the air! The Jazzonian Holiday Bash held at Michele’s Dining Lounge in Fort Lauderdale last Monday (12-5-2011) was a huge success thanks to our many friends that came out to support Jazzonian Youth Scholarship fundraising event—including many great South Florida Jazz musicians:

Thank you to all the great musicians mentioned above! Our event would not have been possible without the great trailblazer volunteers—including: James Chism (Vice President, Jazzonian); Mike Curtis (Treasurer, Jazzonian); Gloria DeJesus (Secretary, Jazzonian); Stephanie Halftel (volunteer); Nat Lorow (who provided the bass amplifier); and Ivan Velasquez (who provided the drumset). Special thank you to Noreena Downey for helping set up the PA system; and Amy Pasquantonio (photographer extraordinaire).

"The performers who donated their time provided a magical musical experience, the food was good Michele's and funds were raised to help provide scholarships for young Jazz musicians. It doesn't get any better!"

A great time was had by all; and the Holiday spirit was shining through with generosity and determination to empower the next generation of Jazz musicians in South Florida as part of Jazzonian Young Jazz Leaders Scholarship initiative.
