An Amazing great times at the 2nd Annual Jazzonian Holiday Bash at Blue Jean Blues
It was a cool and exciting night of scintillating Jazz as a multitude of people came to support the 2nd Annual Jazzonian Holiday Bash at Blue Jean Blues, Tuesday, December 4th, 2012; 7-12 PM, 3320 NE 33rd Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Many were called but few were chosen as part of the amazing cast of Jazz musicians also came to lend their time and talent—including: Bill Heck (Host, vocals). Mike Curtis (guitar), Ezo Hernandez (drums); Mo Morgen (saxophone), Brad Miller (bass), Ivan Velasquez (drums), Jose Velasquez (bass), Danny Burger (drums), Frank Bello (piano), Earle Eidenire (saxophone), Steve Kornicks (congas, percussion), Ken Burthart (piano), Debra Burthart (vocals), Bobby Ramirez (saxophone, flute)
This event is was 100% grassroots effort not supported by any grant; only lovingly supported by volunteers, Blue Jean Blues, many wonderful musicians, and people in the community helping to raise money for the Jazzonian Youth Scholarship Fund.

"It's always so wonderful to see so many in the south Florida Jazz community support Jazzonian and join in our effort to inspire and empower the next generation of Jazz musicians in this area, thank you", said Bobby Ramirez, Fouder and President of the Jazz Museum of Florida (Jazzonian). Ten-twenty years from now, many of these young jazz musicians will be the onces carring the torsh and celebrating Jazz in South Florida. It is very important as part of our institution to nurture that talent."
The JAZZONIAN Youth Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to promising young high school and college level Jazz musicians, empower the next generation of Jazz musicians, and nurture young fans of this artform.
